1995 Exhaust Manifold (and that weird little part next to it)
Today, my wife's 95 Accord Wagon started making quite a racket undeneath the hood.
It appears to be coming from right behind the exhaust manifold cover.
I figure it's the manifold gasket (?)
BUT, here's the question that's bothering me:
When I look down from the front of the car, just to the bottom-right of the exhaust manifold cover is a threaded hole...and it looks way too clean; like something was there and fell out???????
QUESTION: What's that hole for and what, if anything is supposed to be in there????
I just looked at this today, and I'll try to get by the library to check the Chiltons, but I'd apprecaite any response someone can give me!
Take care,

Wow, that'd be great!
If you have a pic (or diagram) of the front of the motor of this car identifying the parts, that'd be great! I'd sure appreciate it.
Thanks,
Flash

I was actually saying maybe you should post a pic of what you mean... but here is a pic i have without my exhaust manifold on. may not be of any help
Thanks so much for your attention (and patience with me!).
Here's a pic of the bottom right side of the (rusty-looking) exhaust manifold cover.
There are three holes shown. One has a bolt in it, one looks like it never had a bolt in it...but the third one (with the arrow) looks too clean...like something was in there and just came out???
The threads inside are too clean to be in a 160,000 mile vehicle.
Can you tell me what that's for, please?
Thanks so much; looking forward to any reply,
Flash

honestly i wouldn't worry about it. I took mine off because the car was lowered and if you bottom out just right you could crack the block right there and cause a oil leak.....usually a very small leak.
