Default Eg door handle removal? And are they pre-wired for power

So are the eg cx's wired for power door locks from the factory and where is the closest place to tap into the wiring? Im going to be putting on a universal power door lock kit. Also how the hell do you get the door handles off these cars. The lock bar is easy it just pulled right off. But the latch bar is threaded into the door handle and cant seem to find a way to get it out

Can't help you with the universal p/l wiring, but I do know that the plastic bushing that attaches the latch rod to the handle is a real PITA to get off. I forget how I did it exactly, but I think it involved prying it out with a chisel, because I could still not get enough leverage with a large flat-head screwdriver.

The rod is threaded at the end and on my new handle you can see it threads in there. I dont see it popping out of there. Didnt see any spot on the handle to take off the latch rod at all. anyone else can help?

Do you have the Service Manual? I have attached an extract from the relevant page (20-6). Notice how the latch rod joint is being separated from the bush on the handle. It's very tricky to get out, but that's how it's done, unless I've completely misunderstood your post.

If you're doing any wiring you're going to need the Service Manual anyway. Get it from the spoonhonda.com website.
