17X8.0 +33 on a TSX????
Hey guys, just wondering how 17x8 +33 offset would work on a TSX. Are there any issues, I know id have to run some negative camber does anyone know how much.....any ideas comments or concerns?? The reason I ask is because the 5zigen Euro R is said to run this offset and i want to confirm that it will fit without major issue. Thanks in advance
I don't mind rolling the fenders some....however I would rather not do it if I can help it. What would you recommend to get a 17 x 8 inch rim under there as far as offset goes....id like it to be as aggressive as possible without the need for rolling. +38 maybe?
it really depends on how low you are going. considering you are running the recommended tire size for this car and you want to tuck tire then yes, you will need to roll the fender. if you want just a sport drop w/ some gap then most likely not.
yeah more towards the +40 and up offsets will work better for you especially if you want to avoid any body modifications.

225/45-17 is approved for mounting on rims 7.0-8.5 inches wide and thus can be mounted on 17x8 rims without problems.
However, most 215/50-17 tires are only approved for mounting on rims 6.0-7.5 inches wide and should not be mounted on 17x8 rims.
If you want to preserve the ability to mount 215/50-17 tires as well as 225/45-17, then you may want to consider 17x7 or 17x7.5. If you don't mind restricting yourself to 225/45-17, then 17x8 is fine.
could you run a wider tire then the 225 on the 17x8 without any issues such as touching another mechanical part of the car? I would probably stay with the 225 if necessary, but im trying to get as much tire on the road as possible. Thanks NSX

ok so i just read a post written by you nsx and i understand now that the size of the tire plays less of a factor to putting the rubber on the road then the weight of the car and tire pressure..... Basically im looking for an aggressive stance with optimal sized tires to make my car competitive. Do you think 17x8 +40 225/45/17 would get me there without rubbing the trailing arms?

If you want to make your car competitive in autocross or track events, get really sticky tires. The stickiest street tire you can get is the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec, which is available in 225/45-17 ($138/tire with free shipping from Discount Tire Direct). With Star Specs in that size, you should be competitive with anyone else with street tires (or, at least, any differences between similar cars will be due to differences in driver skill, not your tires).
thanks so much for the replys nsx. I know that a 17x7.5 +40 will fit.......i guess id have to measure the stock rims and compare with a +40 8 inch. Ill post pics when or if I get these wheels.
