Default newly built motor idles low randomly

i have a newly built bottom and top end GSR motor with about 50 miles on it. i have noticed that it will randomly begin to idle low when i bring the rmps to 2000 or so and let off right away. it idles so low the oil light flashes on and it sounds as if it is going to die but never has. it wont do this all the time and i cant see any pattern. this may have nothing to do with it but there is also a ratteling noise coming from the intake manifold or possibly behind it.... it could very likely be a loose bolt since everything was taken out and put back in.

any help will be appreciated.

correct me if im wrong but the oil light is not supposed to come on unless you have no oil pressure or you have key on engine off...my engine fully warmed up idles at about 500rpms or so and the oil light does not come on. any lower than that and I would think it would stall...
what is it idleing at?

maybe try turning up the idle adjustment screw just a bit

Actually, the oil light comes on when you have less 5-8 psi. The light is coming on because you RPM is dropping to low. Find you idle air control valve and first see if it is loose. If it is not loose try replacing it and see if the problem goes away. As for the rattleing sound see if your cat sheild is loose.

surging idle usually indicates a vacuum leaks and timing from my expereinces and yes the IACV will make the car have a low idle...sometimes low enough to where the car will stall out

I agree, in my experience with hondas low idle is usually caused by a bad idle air control valve. Dont quote me on this but honda may call them fast idle valves.
