Default ILR presents ls/vtec simple build, dyno graph

setup:

replacement oversized 81.75mm CTR pistons (Safety Brand)/balanced/vertical gas ported
stock resized/balanced ls rods with ARP rod bolts
balanced/polished ls crank
reworked ITR intake manifold (ported)
ILR ported b16a cyl head
skunk2 stg2 camshafts/ later tried blox HSL and currently running the HSL's
68mm professional product throttle body
dsm 440 blue top injectors
ILR custom headers
tuned on Crome Pro

for what a terrible design the ctr piston is, and how much most people dont like it, it sure makes good power on top of an 89mil crank and rods.

pictures of header/rest of the set up?

double stepped primaries, looks like 2 anti reversion sections and side exit. im gonig to have to say those dyno numbers can be attributed to that thing. lol wow

you didnt mention what fuel was used....

all motor cars should be SAE corrected for accurate numbers.

anyways, got a plot with the tq?

nice! now I need to get a set of HSL's for my NA setup. Seems like they are not easy to come by now days.

sorry guys, my rpm pickup is messed up right now, I'm ordering another one from dynojet, I'd say the tq is in the 140 ish, and sae corrected is 212whp

would going 81.25 instead of 81.75 make a big loss in numbers

No and there are better choices than CTR pistons.

i understand thats everyones statement

but with a b16 head and sayyy p30s that everone likes... i dont see many of those builds breaking 200

every lsv build i see with ctrs and cams breaks 200, you cant deny that

i understand flame travel, weight, etc

it just doesnt seem to be correct that these dont make great power in lsv's
