Default When Do You Replace.....?

Hey all I was wondering when you know when to replace your fuel filter. Is it after a certain amount of miles? How can you tell if the fuel filter is going bad? And how will replacing the fule filter affect the engine reponse? Will I feel a difference in the response of the car at all?
Thanx Corey

replace it ever 30000km's, that's what honda recommends, if you go to 50 000KM no biggie, just dont forget about it

also the car does feel a BIT better after replacing it...could be in the head...meh

What country are you in? Here in the USA Honda hasn't had a recomended replacement interval for fuel filters since about 1995. They are good for the life of the car in most cases. Replacement is only needed if it is causing a problem. (Or you know you got some contaminated gas.)

oh yea and one more thing, dont rely on everything honda recommends...dont forget the more cars you go through the more money they make...hence why they recommend 10 000KM oil change intervals...

LOL. That's not how they sell cars. With their engineers, if they wanted, the cars would fall apart as soon as the warranty period was over. They go way beyond that with just reccomended maintenance.

hence why they recommend 10 000KM oil change intervals...
Engine design has improve greatly along with their PCV systems. Oil quality and additives also keep getting better. BTW, that's 10,000 miles here, with 5w20 motor oil. Ive seen several Hondas that have had their oil change every 10,000 miles and ajusting their valves at 105,000 miles, (Hondas reccomended interval on some models.) are clean as a new one under the valve cover.
