Are my new pad ruined??
I recently got some axxis ultimate pads and some new autozone rotors for the front of my integra.
Well, I forgot to get the film off the new rotors with brake cleaner and drove around. I noticed while braking hard the front brakes shudder really bad. That is when I realized I forgot to clean off the rotors..
I had the autozone guy tell me my pads were doomed and to get new ones, but I dont exactly put that much trust into autozone employees...
Will this pass? Can I just take off the pads and clean up the rotors and spray the pads down real good and hope that the rest will just burn off the pads?

It would be kinda risky to hope that ur pads "burn" off the substance... but I guess if you can get to a closed course or somewhere with little or no activity and keep braking... you never know. Worth a try, just don't harm yourself or others :p
Just bed them properly. Should fix everything.
Just be absolutely certain to avoid making a complete stop between full temperature bed and complete cool down.

There's no need to clean off the rotors; the pads will wear anything off. However, I've never heard of shudder with brand new rotors. TunerN00bis right; try bedding them. See the technical white papers on the Stoptech website for more info about bedding.
I read some info on bedding. Ill try that, I'm also gonna take the pads off soon and have a look.
Is there a way to tell by looking if they are ok or contaminated or whatever?

Ok. Listen to me. Take the bads out. Get a wiz wheel with a soft compound scuff disk. Just brake the surface of your pads until they look ned. That will clean the sealent they use on the rotors out of your pads. Then your pads will be fine. As a tech I will suggest you turn your rotors because it will clean the only grooves out from the original break in. This will give you the best result.
Now if you want a race break in on your pads what you need to do is slam on your breaks from like 60-15 or so a couple of times. Ten park the car in gear no e-brake if you did the rears. and let it sit to let the rotors and pads cool. This will give you the best adhesion surface for the pads to grip.

x2 on scuffing the pads. Also before you condemn the rotors for being warped, make sure you cleaned the hub surface well and make sure there isnt a piece of rust or something between the rotor hat and the hub.
