OK! winter is almost over...and i've been saving up $$$....thinking about playing with 7k.....I own a 95' 4door teggy...i was either thinking of getting a newer car(like a Acura TL type S or newer accords) or putting 7k in my teggy(swapping - ITR front conversion - Suspension upgrades, etc...)...what would you guys do with 7k? just wondering......

 

personally i would keep saving it and buy another car.

i would buy some sort of dd and then put the rest into your teg.... that way if something goes wrong under the knife your not in a hurry to get it done cause come monday morning yougot to be at work.

S2000? They sell like civic's now a days.

 

swap the motor and build the head. then tiddy up the suspension so when i'm in the corners it looks like im on drivin on train tracks! thats me personally.

sell your car and add the 7k. buy a type r. the resale will hold and you'll get the fun factor.

 

you mean you have a sedan, and 7k? Dude, just get it running right, then go buy a busted *** sr20 240 and drift the s--- out of it. I know you want to =] or buy a bike, take the MSF course for sure, and go do trackdays.

I vote Sell your car, Buy something else with the added money, Or Option B. Swap in a GSR motor, All the boltons, New paint, Lip, Wheels/tires, Suspension and possibly JDM front if you've got enough. but who knows.

 

yea, Hahaha..LOL..thats awesome!....yea...it's sooo much options out there....i was shopping around for Type R's too...S2000's would be sweeet....but then again...a nice luxery or SUV whip would be pimp too...its too difficult..i gotta make up my mind by summer...all the replies are really great ideas!

 

get a s2k just think about it if you're single then that's the way to drop them panties...

 

oh and it's quite fast

 

you dont see that many sick 4 doors so a say itr front end and put some work in on the suspension and make it sick

I would look into getting a new car.. if you want something more "racey" go type r, s2k, or an evo or sti.. if you want a car with some power, and luxury, i would look at a newer TL Type S... beautiful car IMO

I have been there done that with my DA. It was bone stock 3 years ago and within the first years of owning it I dropped the engine and transmission with a b18c and an LSD trans from HMO with innovative motor mounts. Its cammed with bolt ons and tuned on crome making 193whp. Also have konis with ground control coilovers, rear sway bar, wheels/tires and other appearance mods.

Its a very fun car to drive, but honestly if I could have done it again I would have just saved the money and left the car stock or close to it and just kept saving the money which is what I am doin now because at the end of the day, THE CAR IS OLD no matter how you look at it. Its going to squeek and rattle all over the place, my spine is bruised everywhere and lets be real, with cars now a days its not really that fast. When V6 accords and camrys run 14s from the factory.

Specially when my friend has an EVO with a full exhaust and a vishnu chip and would RAPE me without trying even with all the money I put into the teg. A stock EVO or S4 or 350z or anything along those lines would pull a modded teg regardless anyway.
