I ordered a new New throttle sensor because the old one caused my car to have erratic idles problems.

Problem is i seem to be lost at where and how to install this one since its new looking im not seeing the old one. I might just be effin blind lol.

Curious on any DTY threads on this.

ALSO i just got my used b16 vtec solenoid but its seems to look completely different then the one on my car.

Ill add pics on the one in my car and one of the new one to show the difference.

 

Throttle Position Sensor is on the back of the throttle body towards the firewall. There are plenty of threads on this and it is basic knowledge. You really, really, really, really need to purchase a repair manual.

Also what did you purchase the new Throttle Positioning Sensor off of? (What kind of car was used to look up the part number?)

IF your car has erratic idle issues I doubt it is the Throttle Position Sensor but rather the Idle Air Control Valve (a.k.a. IACV). There are TONS of FAQs on this.

Finally, is your car OBD-1 or OBD-0 ???

 

Im totally unsure of what kind of b16a i have its either one from the del sol or a civic si.

Im bout to check the IACV and FITV tomorrow. I havent gotten to new TPS sensor yet its meant for Brand new Honda / Acura Throttle Position Sensor - Honda Acura TPS
