Does anyone know the stock preload measurements for the front coilovers?

I think 150mm. Maybe 200mm. Try it. If it's right, it should be snug and you should still be able to spin the springs with your hands, no up and down movements though.

should be no preload, meaning its just snug like inmylrg said. I have these. couple things: 1. dont drive with them in the winter 2. be very careful with the front adjustment *****.

^^ The threads on the adjustment sleeve get rusty over time which = no more adjustment

The adjustment ***** are very sensitive in the front, if you go too far stiff or soft you can break the connection to the damper inside and the **** will just spin. So leaving an hpde event with the dampers stuck on very stiff = not good for street driving. And like turboteg2nv said the threads get rusty fast. the dampers come with rubber sleeves to go over the threads but one of mine tore and the whole threads are rusted out. And the front adjustment ***** are mounted on the bottom of the damper, as opposed to under the hood. Therefore they can get rusty which makes it harder to turn, which makes it harder to tell when the damper is set to all the way stiff or all the way soft. Poor design, but you get what you pay for. It is worth swapping them out for the stock in the winter.

One more thing, in order to adjust the ride height for the rear you have to take the damper off of the car to make sure it is set to 0 preload. Pain in the ***. for getting the ride height correct.

I did put these caps on them, however I think they rusted more because of these since water can get stuck above it. If I were to do it again it would be best to load the **** up with grease and then put the cap on so it wont rust or get water in there. <- anticipating a "what she said"
