its a tenrai looks like a direct fit to me yeah i have a friend helping me i just wanted to know what i was doing before i did it is all
All you do is unbolt it at the exhaust manifold, take of the rubber hangars, slide it out from underneath the car, slide new one in put the hangars on it, bolt it up... done...
So easy.
So easy.
Unhook the rubber hangers starting from the rear of the car. Unhook the o2 sensor wires that goto the catalytic converter(should be grey connectors that unclip). Unbolt the original/existing exhaust system from rear forward. This will give you an easier time getting to the top bolt on the catalytic converter(assuming it is under the car, and not a header located catalytic converter found on some civics). Then you should have just the catalytic converter and nothing after it. Layout the new piping and start hanging it with oem rubber hangers. Bolt up after all is setup making sure to use gaskets.
Catalytic converter is bad when you don't pass smog anymore, or the inside of it jiggles around like a small bouncy ball. That means the catalyst inside is toast and time to replace.
Goodluck on the install.

You mean the stock one between exh. mani and downpipe or the end of your downpipe that looks like a donut?
one in between is usually called metal ring gasket and the donut looking one is.. well, I call it the donut gasket.
You can either get them from any auto-parts store or Honda dealer. Have the part(s)with you and show them.
