I have a 98 prelude. with a chipped bumper...i would love to paint it over again with the original color that i can buy on some website that i found for oe honda paint. But i was wondering how much of black paint will i be needing. they sale 1/2 pint....a pint..and a quart.???? which one will i be needing in order for me to paint my front bumper?..

 

Probably no more than a pint but i would get a quart to be on the safe side if you need to paint anything down the road. Also depends on how many base coats your sparying on the bumper as well...

 

a pint should be enought but it doesn't hurt to have a quart. and if hope you are not just spray painting this on tho. the clear is gonna cost you. lol. GL.

 

All you need is half a pint if it's a 1:1 mix ratio. I sprayed the same exact bumper with the same oem color (black with blue metalics) with a half a pint of PPG DBC base. I still have the other half a pint left cause my jobber only sells it by a pint at the least. Don't forget you need primer sealer and clear too. Here's some pics!

 

naw i already have it off my car and took the paint of it already. i just need to prepare it for the paint.. so half a pint of paint sounds good then...Thankx peeps!
