Default obd1 code 9

Hey i just recenttly got this code and i research about it which is related to the distributor. So i borrow a oem distributor from a friend that has no CEL and tried it on my car n it still throws the same code!?!?

Additional info:

-91 crx dx with b20b swap

Did you reset the ECU before you tried the other dizzy?

did you get this code after the swap? are you running it on obd0 or obd1? check your wiring/ecu. usually its either the dist, the wiring or ecu.

yea i got the code after a b20b swap onto my crx. Im running obd1. I have checked my rewires like twice and yet no luck.Also swap with like 2-3 dizzies in good condition.

Well if you are swapping out distributors with no luck. You have double checked your rewire.

Then double check the wires themselves. Maybe there is a bad connection in the connectors. Either that or maybe a wire is split or not engaging in the connector.

You should do more than just rely on somebody to give you the solving answer; we can just give suggestions not check for you.

Grab a multi-meter/ continuity tester and check all the swapped wires.

yup its gotta be wiring, check and double check your pinouts etc.

yup did that today. spent about an hour with the multi-meter/contunity tester. I did come up the conclusion that it couldd be the connector since i had problem with it once.
