Changing clock bulb in '01 Odyssey
Need to install new clock bulb in my mom's van. No owner's manual came with it. Anyone know how to take out the clock without damaging the surrounding plastic? Thanks in advance guys!
Nah it's easy.
-Apply the parking brake and (with the engine off) put the gear select in 1.
-(it needs to be above 65 degrees in the van to avoid breaking panels)
-Reach behind the radio trim that the shifter usually blocks. Pull it out firmly (it's only got clips) and unhook enough connectors to let the trim dangle off tot he side.
-Remove the three philips head screws now exposed on the bottom of the vent trim.
-Move to the passengers seat.
-Pop the trim loose (it will only come out about 5 inches), with a small flat head screwdriver turn the old bulb in the back of the clock about 45 degrees and pop it out.
-Reverse the other steps and enjoy your clock again.

Perfect timing on this (no pun intended). The clock light went out on my wife's Ody this morning. I was going to check over at Odyclub, but just joined here and thought I look around a bit first.
