Integra gsr for evo gsr?
So I'm thinking about selling my 2001 integra gsr and getting a 2006 evo gsr. My teg is the first car that I've owned, and I love it. This summer, I was planning on getting new brakes, new suspension (Koni yellows with GC), HID, jdm sidemarkers, and maybe upgrade the exhaust. But before doing all that, I'd thought that I'd just sell it to a friend who is willing to buy it for $8000. My teg currently has 95,000 miles on it and the evo I'm looking at has 22,000 miles and is in perfect condition. I was also able to talk the dealership to lower the price to $22,000. I could put the $8000 down and would only owe $14,000 on the evo which i could pay off in no time. I don't know what to do, so I wanna ask my fellow honda-tech brothers for some advice. Should I keep the teg and stay in the honda scene or move on to the evo?

put it this way, i looked up blue book on my 95 gsr with 210k miles on it, and its very depressing seeing as how much money i have tied up in it, if i ever sold it i KNOW i would regret it, and want another one, plus dude... a Mitsubishi? come on now... you will be having to basically rebuild the freaking thing before you pay it off. Yea it will be fast, but just till it gives out, then thats it... unless your just gonna buy another car in 3 years..
go for the evo you wont regret it man.. you can always buy a gsr later in life but an evo comes once in a lifetime... you will be amazed by how the evo performs.. and also i know for a fact that once you drive a dream machine like an evo there's nothing else you would want to drive...

if you can afford it then go for the evo
fun factor- evo > dc2
practicality- evo > dc2
ability to comfortably handle high HP- evo > dc2
economical- dc2 > evo
cop magnet- dc2 > evo
thief magnet- dc2 > evo
imo i think your asking the wrong people. go to a different forum where the majority of ppl can actually afford cars like an evo, sti, s2000's and im sure the responses will be alot different

Thanks for all the advice guys. Another reason I'm considering the evo is because I live in Wisconsin, and with all this crazy snow, the awd would be great. But here'a another thing; I'm a short guy (5'4''), and I fit perfectly in my teg, driving ergonomics is great. I recently drove a friends evo, and wow, what a difference, I could barely see over the hood. Needless to say, I feel much more snug in the teg. Any of you guys thats my height testify to this?
first of all, are you being honest with yourself when you say "14K i can pay that off in no time"??? factor in the economy, possibility of losing your job, the increased fuel costs, possibly higher insurance, and the fact that youre most likely gonna wanna buy parts for the evo.
Imo, if you dont need a 4 door, and have no problems with the teg, keep the gsr =]
