if you just got the car then just drive it. You may not even notice it.

I have had my MY04 since it was brand new and I left my CDV installed.

I'd take it out, the sooner you do the more life you'll get from your clutch. plus it's annoying to have the clutch slip every quick shift. bought mine with 26,000 miles and took it off right away, even still a quick 3rd to 4th or 4th to 5th and the clutch just slips away oh well, got a new one coming soon anyway

thanx man yeah gonna remove it today and bleed the clutch

i raced my friend in his rsx with type r swap, and i was like wtf why is the clutch slipping, then my friend told me about the ap2 having the delay valve.

ive had over 30 s2000's but this is first one im gonna keep for my self and first ap2 i drove , and i must say ap2 is way better than ap1 coming from someone who has had 30 ap1's

some people say ap1 is better than ap2 and those chumps never even owned an ap2

ive owned them all, and ap2 2004-2005 is my favorite model

i first tried drilling it out...that didnt work that well...

So i ended up doing an AP1 Clutch Slave, which doesnt have the delay valve.

What a difference. I wouldnt ever go back to the AP2 Slave again.

the AP1 slave cylinder is basically what you end up with when you take the delay valve out of the AP2 salve cylinder.

if you don't feel it slip yet you will the valve is inside the 04+ slave clyinder. basically it restricts the flow of the fluid going out of the slave cylinder so that the clutch engages over time even if you dump the clutch. the sooner you take out the delay valve the longer your clutch will last since it won't be slipping all the time.

as for the tranny being hard to get into gears they take a little while to warm up. I strongly recommend getting Redline MTL tranny fluid, HUGE improvement on how the tranny feels.

i did the CDV job on mine and it shifts more naturally.. I don't even remember how it was before the mod though..

How much is Redline MTF and where can u buy it? I may try it in my tranny next time i do a fluid change..

Maybe Formula 1 should be on the lookout for you since you drive so well.
