1300 for 220k miles is a pretty high. plus stock coils/springs.
if you like it that much, try to lowball him like everyone is saying.

seems to me like he just hacked away at a decent sol...i would offer him like $800 and see if he takes it. if not...say $900 or your out the door. if you threaten people they tend to reconsider stuff...so maybe he will take it.
my suggestion offer the owner for $500 for the shell til $800 is good enough for that del sol...
that owner of del sol is rippin it off
the owner would put the motor in it but it has 200k mileages although,
he should sell everything with motor and transmission for $1100
should he ask the owner abt that offer?

why would the seller take the time to put the motor in that he probably doesnt have and sell it for $200 cheaper than he is asking for the shell? he will definately not go for this...OP tell him that you will get this oversized cinderblock out of his driveway for $900. make it sound like your doing him a favor and make him think the car is ****. point out things that are wrong with it so he will reconsider. for example...one wheel is missing and it has stock springs/struts that are cut or heated and the shocks have to be blown.
yea the owner want to put D15 motor from honda civic in it this weekend
because no one yet to buy the shell so....the owner ll put the D15 motor in it...
yea i agree w ya slo_hatch...
he should negotiate w the owner abt his del sol shell reasons...

you know i would say shes worth 500 all day long if it looks as good as the pictures make it look i mean 500 bucks you go buy a swap for it and some new suspension for it then you got yourself a pretty nice car for around 4500 it looks good to bad he just cut the springs though...
and its your money and your choice so spend what you want on it i wouldnt go higher then 700 if you REALLY like it
also i agree with the guy above about pointing out the flaws and make it seem like its a piece of **** that usually works on people that are not very smart and when people cut springs and think that a shell like that is worth 1300 there not the brightest i like how it looks though gl with lowballing DONT LET HIM KNOW YOU WANT THAT MUCH

dude thats a little high my buddy just picked up a 92 si for $500 and it runs and drives all it need was a good cleaning up. I think if it was me i would offer him at least $700 but not $1300 thats to high man
Go with the shell for $800.
BTW, I am surprised no one asked yet, but do you know the trim level of the car? (S, Si, VTEC) If you are not sure, check the VIN for EG1, EG2, or EH6. If you don't have the VIN, ask if does it have rear disk brakes that were stock from the factory.
should i get this 1993 Honda Del Sol. It has just under 160,000 miles. It also has an $800 stero system in it and that will go with it. It has RSJ 15in black rims with new tires and it will also come with the stock rims also with new tires. The interior is spotless and very clean. The body is also in great shape. NO rust or dents. There are a few scratches in the paint but nothing that noticeable. The clutch is four months old and it is still in perfect condition (5-speed manual). $2500

or
1994 honda del sol for $2100

or that shell??

yeah it all depends on what you plan on doing. if your planning on a major swap and project...get the shell. but if you want a daily...get one of those others. what are the prices on the others??
