Wheel studs?!?!
I have a 95 integra. I recently puchased some 16inch rota slips. I noticed when i had put my wheels on, the lug nuts had only a few threads. The wheels are tight but it kind of makes me nervous. I am going to buy some extended studs but i just want to know what couldhappen if i left these on for a while?

Are the wheels not the proper fitment for a Honda?
i am not sure i bought the wheels used. The wheel that gave me problems today was the front driver side. I only have three studs on it. I torqued the wheels yesterday to 80 and two of them came loose today.

Well my stock lug studs are probably 1.5" long or so, beyond the brake rotor. My Rota wheels at the very edge of the conical-seat lug nut hole is probably only 1/2" thick or so. So that leaves at least 1" of threads still engaged on the lug nut.

THis is why im going with extended studs. You might want to consider doing this too. (since your missing a wheel stud)

I must be missing something. How would extended studs make putting on or removing wheels easier?? If anything it would be more of a PITA since you have to spin the lug nuts over many more threads.
cus ur gonna have to hold the wheels bak in place while u screw on the lug nuts. "I noticed when i had put my wheels on, the lug nuts had only a few threads." duh. i used to have the same problem. and nothings a PITA if u got an air compressor.

You should just go ahead and get the extended wheel studs put on. Kill two birds with one stone. might as well. You eventually are going to end up buying some wheels and or brake set up that is going to require a extended wheel stud set. your front driver side is missing a stud, and by the way you stated above; doing so well help out with holding strenght.

spacers are only needed if u need the clearance. Besides the fact, some major autox events actually require the extended studs. others even require a roll cage of some kind, but some others only require a DOT approved helmet. DOnt know why exactly, but different places have their reasons. IN MY OPINION, id go with the extended studs, especially if i had to replace a bad/broken stud; which happens to be the case with my integra.
i dont think it'll be a problem really..or else you didnt put it all the way in or something. i'm only running on 3 studs one is ****ed up still waiting for it to get warmer so i can work on it. i was running a set of rota jspl's it was fine..
