pull back your carpet on the passenger side under the dash. You'll find a goldish colored plate, your ecu is under it but there is a red LED that you can see through the hole in the middle of the plate. Turn your ignition switch to the ON position, but don't start the car. Your LED on the ecu will be flashing if you have a code. Count how many flashes there are and that's your code. It is possible to have multiple codes, so watch the light for a while. Count the flashes and then there will be a long pause (a second or two) and then it'll flash again, it flashes the lowest numbered code first and does this in order. So you can have a code 5, 6, and 14, maybe write them down real quick if you have to. There will be the pause between each code and it'll keep repeating the codes as long as the key is on.
Do this and let us know what you come up with. There is a list of ecu codes in the FAQ section in this forum, check that once you get your codes.
I recommend checking your battery too. A lot of starting issues are caused by a bad/weak battery. Get it checked at most any auto parts store or a battery place for free usually. Even if you replaced it recently check it anyway. Always check the basics and easy stuff first especially before you start replacing parts like ignitors. Not to say it might not be that, but checking a battery is easy and I've had it be the cause of problems like this many times. good luck.

turn your idle up a bit...that should help with the low idle and check for any air leaks.
also if your crx is bogging up or sputtering while its warming up...your choke is either going out or your feul lines are clogging up
clean the choke, fuel line ect and see if that fixes anything

yeah my 88 still had the carb and all that old skool stuff..lol.but im swapping that out this week for my dohc ZC..thats what i did when i had it running to fix the problem..imma post a thread on my swaps..
Your 88 had a carb? are you sure. only JDM cars had carb'd motors. Everything in the states was fuel injected.
Have you checked your battery? Don't start replacing parts and seafoaming before you do that. Do the easy free stuff first.

aye i wanna *** with the idle ...how can i turn it up so that the needles points and stay at 1 ....cus right now the RPM needles is above the ZERO !!...is that normal ??
do your gauges work?
try smaking the cluster see if the rpms go to where they should be.
when a car idles at zero that usually means its off or your gauges are dead.
