what ecu do i need?
to convert my obd2 shell to my obd1 motor? is it a pr4, a p72?
any help would be tight...
i have a 1994 motor in a 1997 shell and i already have the conversion harness.. im just not to sure what ecu i need to for my 94 motor?
anyone know?

use the obd1 p75 then. i think you can also use the 92-93 ls ecu but i'm not 100% sure. i also don't know the ecu code.
are you using a 95 or 96 ecu? if 95 you won't be able to plug the ecu in without the conversion harness.

i think the alternator might have a different plug and there might be something different about the pcv system. you should do a search because all of this has been covered in the past. i think the starter is actually the same between obd1 and 2 so you didn't need to swap it.
. anyway, are you going to convert the motor to obd2, or the car to obd1? depending on how emissions is in your area, your only choice might be to convert the motor to obd2. if you're going to do that, then you'll need to use a 96-97 p75 ecu, which will plug into the original ecu plugs that're in the car. if you're converting the car to obd1, you'll have to use a obd2-obd1 conversion harness and use a 94-95 ecu. as i've mentioned you might be able to use a 92-93 ecu as well but don't take my word for it.
if you want pictures of what the different years of ecu's look like then check out this site http://technet.ff-squad.com/
The car isn't getting a spark. I did the CKF sensor "trick" but used the quick crimps like this write up said.

I think the ecu shorted so I bought a new one. Should I solder them this time?
BTW: here is a link to my thread on this issue. Sorry for thread-jacking.
