Default What next?

Ok so my bday was a week ago and I got some money from family and Im waiting on my tax money to come in. I know this isn't technical but i think Ill get the resonse i want here.

So after i paid my bills keeping me many months ahead on the car payment (xtra money not going there), and i finished my tattoo, i want to get a car part.

My choices are getting skunk2 pro-s, hondata reflash, or going with mayb the RRC IM and getting a TSX TB.

Tax dollars are 1000 and the money that i got for a mod is about 250 xtra. So what would you guys buy. (not looking to spend all of it)

Well if you have some extre money them use it to pay off your car..... I'm joking around =P. But really if I was you I would this same up my money more and get the Pro-C's. They are alout better then the Pro-S, and you have an new car so you really don't what to F anything up why taking the easy way out.... That's this me

well the pro-c's are better but they do the damepning and i really dont need that xtra feture for about double the price! I was going to track the car but things have changed and Im no longer doing to take the car to the track. i want the better handeling and the look and control of adjusting the height. So pro-s is perfect for me.

I just cant decide if i want the drop or if i want the speed. eventually im going to get the other part during the summer soo..... But my car has always had a squeek in the rear and i added some braces and did the sway and endlinks and the **** still squeeks. car went to honda when it was stock and they didnt hear nething so im thinking that maybe by replacing the spring and shock it will stop squeeking. What you guys think?

Killercrx91 thanks for the reply and honest advice.

if it was me, I would get the Reflash. It seems as though you have a good N/A setup already (207whp/151 wtrq) and the reflash would be a great compliment to a good setup.

Also, since this sounds like your DD, ~25 trq midrange will be quite nice.

The squeak may not be the spring, but interior parts or something else vibrating. I have an annoying squeak on my front dash because the roads in area really suck. If this is the case with your car, replacing them with the pro-S's will only make it worse. With that in mind, I would go with the reflash. Like vantage said, it will complement your current numbers very well.

ok guys thanks. The squeek is somthing to do with the chassis and the rear suspension. if i have someone sit on the edge of my trunk when the spring compresses it makes the noise.

The downtime for the reflash isnt that long so ill have to get a ride to college and work for a couple days. Thanks guys. When i get the part in and on I'll let you kno how much more i love my Si!

On a side note, if i buy a ecu that is for an 07(VSA enabled) and it is already reflashed hwo would i get the key fob ect to work on the ecu.

i would definitely go with the pro-s, i'll be getting them within the next few months. a good suspension makes the car a lot more fun to drive.

Im sorry for not listing the current mods to the car
Progress rear sway bar
Corsport endlinks
rear strut brace
DCRH
Greddy evo2 catback
K&N SRI

I think thats the mods that i have performance wise. Well i have to get new tires for my summer rims and Ill get them over the summer. I really like the idea of added power yet i really will love the stance of the car and the way it will handle after they are on.

Well I have an CRX that is 5 and a half inches form the ground and I think that's that lowest you SHOULD got and still have speed. Because it was 4 and a half inches and it was hard for me to go faster then 45 because of some bumps in the road.

Hey Greg, do you have a link to a video of your dyno runs? I remember you posting a thread with those links, but I can't find them on my recent threads.

i woulda went with suspension also since i tihnk thats the only thing your car is really missing appearance wise going off you dyno videos.
the only thing i dont like about the reflash is that you lose the traditional honda sound.
but you do pick up 30hp and i think 15tq or something, i think im wrong about the tq number.

the problem with your squeak is ur sway bar, i had the same issues. you need to lube the bushings for the sway bar that connect to the frame!! so u have to take the sway bar off

IMO id get the suspension. I have a 95 DX with a D15B7 and it wasn't much fun but then i got a suspension and holy hell what a diference, its still slow but corners are a hell or a lot more fun.

I've read that that occurs on the adjustable end links. Now does that only happen with adjustable units or does that refer to all aftermarket endlinks? And do you have relubricate them often?

well the problem is that the noise was there before i did any mods to the car. The car was stock and it made that noise. i will grease the endlinks and i will lube up the sway again.
