Default Car names and Abbreviations

Does anybody know where the car names comes from? Like
FG2=civic si coupe 2006+
FA5=civic si sedan 2006+
EM1=Civic
AE86= 86 toyota tureno corolla

LIke for instance like how the civic coupe gets its name 'FG2' from?
does any body have a list of cars and its names?

This is my understanding...

those names are generally chassis codes, you can find them in the VIN number, they differ from JDM/USDM then by year and car for the letters, the number can tell you what motor.

for example
DC4 is a non Vtec 94-01 integra
DC2 is a Vtec 94-01 integra

EG would be a 92-95 honda civic hatchback
EJ a coupe 92-95

ek would ne 96-98
em 99-00

if you look at your vin tag on your front windshield, i think it will say

2HGFG2***********

that is where it originates from
which is the chassis code. and if you dont know what a chassis code is, its pretty much a name for a specific chassis.
think of it like your parents naming you and your siblings. same sh*t
and the chassis codes are usually the 4th thru 6th letter in the vin tag.

fixed. chassis codes like said before, all from the vin number

most hondas people call them by the japanese chasis code like the ej/eh are called eg's since people are so jdm
