Default RSX: ASPEC wheels tire question on 245/45/17?

Yeah i need a set of tires asap. and I have someone around the way has these forsale.

they will go on my 02-04 ASPEC wheels which came stock with 225/45's
will that 245 versus 225 make a huge difference. This is in widths of the tires right?

I will get an alignment.

Stick with 225/45-17 tires. 245/45-17 is too big for your car. Oversized tires will cause all kinds of problems. They will throw off the accuracy of the speedometer and odometer, they will make your car accelerate slower, and they may rub in the wheel wells. And they will cost more. Along with all these downsides, there are NO significant advantages to the oversized tires. Stick with 225/45-17.

If you're looking for better traction, buy better, stickier tires, not wider tires. The Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec is the stickiest street tire you can buy, and it's available in 225/45-17. And in that size it will give you better grip than any other tire, even another tire in a wider size.

NSXtasy, Thanks for taking your time and share some of your knowledge, very very appreciative my friend. Yes, i was thinking wider= possible grippier tire.

and now that i know, I will stick with the stock size of 225/45's then.
