Default cluster question

i just bought a manual cluster today at a junk yard for 15 bucks. high miles, but in good condition. my question is... is there a way to tell what year it came out of? i took it out by myself, but i don't know what year the car was. it came out of a wagon. i've searched but all i can find is how to re pin it if necessary. i'd like to know before i put it in and everything. thanks guys!

There are only two styles:

-88-89

-90-91

As far as miles goes, they are very easy to take apart and reset the number to the proper number of clicks your cars has.

Post a pic if your not sure, we can easily tell you which cluster it is

wow, nothing in that link looks anything like what i have. i could use that if i were doing an eg cluster swap, but for an 88-89 into a 91, that thing has me all be****ered, the wires it says should be where theyre supposed to be, arent. ie; blue/red wire in pic, i have a yellow one. picture says i should have green/orange i have blue/white. wtf?
