Default Blown headgasket

Other than a loss of coolant which will eventually lead 2 overheating are there any other symtoms that may help diagnose a blown headgasket? Also my head has a slight tapping and the engine seems to be burning more oil, not sure if the rings are damaged also.

If it's a blown head gasket it should be smoking from the tip of the muffler.

There is another easy way to check if the headgasket is blown. U just need to open the radiator cap, and fill up coolant, then start the engine. If U see the coolant is push out of the radiator quickly and a lot, that means your headgasket is blown.
Another way to make sure the headgasket is blown is doing compressor test. But U can try the easy way first. Good luck!

seems like that only works if its fully blown. and if it is it prolly has lots of white smoke (steam from coolant) coming out the exhaust. its easy to do a small pull and see if your catch can has more coolant in it. if it fills up a lot then its pushing coolant and your hg is about to blow.

if you think your rings are shot then it would be blue smoke.

if you think its both, drain your oil. coolant should settle on top.
