integra gsr vs RSX-S
one of my close buddies is planning on either getting a integra GSR or a RSX type S. I would like a bit of input on both cars to try and help him decide he has test drove both but they both have there ups and downs. would just like some input
the price difference is the decision maker. the rsx-s is $12-18k the GSR is $3-8k
i would rather have a mint 2001 gsr than a beat up 2002 rsx. again. all price. if both cars were offered as a choice that someone else was paying for, it would be easy. rsx-s

From what I understood the Integra suspension was supposed to be better than the Rsx, but the Rsx type S does have 6 speed( godsend for these torqueless motors ), bigger front and rear brakes, 5 lug wheels and a stronger k-series motor that gets far more power gains from simple add-ons like intake and exhaust than the Integra B-series engines do.
Another aspect I like about the Rsx is that the Ecu can be flashed and reprogrammed, whereas us OBD2 Integra drivers either have to go with a piggyback or an OBD1 conversion. Both of which are emissions illegal.
Personally, i wish i had the money at the time I bought my integra to go with a newer Rsx but at the same time if I had, i would not have the spare money available to buy a home right now because I'd still have about another $8k to pay off.
i say type-s,
-newer
-better resale value
-better motor
may be more expensive, but the key factor for me would be....... ready for this, integra are more likely to get stolen then a rsx.

^^ correct with the stolen factor. Newer cars are also prone to less problems. It all dependson the driver. Tell him to do some research , because we cant decide for him when he is stuck with it in the long run. I say you get better responce from the DC2. I wanted a DC5 instead because my old one got jacked but funds where short.

Not any safer owning an RSX anymore. They have figured out how to steal them very easily.

My 01 gsr over any rsx-s. No matter what any one says integra specially JDM look is 10 times better looking car then rsx and if money is not a problem u can always fix that B18 to do some big damages. Integra all the way lollll.

Id get the GSR
