I've seen alot of cars without the side moldings. My car is an lx so they aren't painted and I'm considering taking them off. Any info on taking them off? Will it need to get repainted or will it buff out underneath? Should I have a professional body man do it? I want to take the pinstripe off my car as well.
For the 5th gen Accord, to remove them you have to take off the interior door panel to get at the clips, then the side moldings are also held on by double-sided tape on the outside. You would be left with holes where the clips attach, which would have to be filled.

oo damn, that was what I was afraid of. I was hoping they didn't have holes behind them. I can't do something like that myself.
I think I will just get them painted to match like the ex's and then remove my pin stripe and buff the car.

I probably won't even paint my moldings now. I seen a coulple of accords like mine without the moldings painted that looked really sick.
