I don't see why you'd need to remove the headlight to get them off?

oh cus dont you have to bolt it onto the area between the headlight and the radiator on both sides. i was just wondering if there was an easier way to do it.

a 10mm gear wrench would do the trick for the 10mm bolt between the headlight and radiator. you dont need to remove the headlights.

actually 2 10mm bolts on each side of the corner light. 1 between the radiator and headlight for left and right. and one at the center next to the hood latch. total of 7 10mm bolts.

That is correct. On top of it, those extra 2 bolts by headlight are actually are on the headlight side, and the nut is welded on the radiator side, so you cannot undo them from the radiator side either.

What kinda worked for me with removing the middle headlight bolt was a really long extension for my ratchet, something like 10" would work, I think. No gear wrenches yet...

Ok we must be talking about the sedan, because the hatch back only has 3 holding the filler peice on, ive taken it off numerous times.

OK, I sincerely say: lucky you! Here is a piece I pulled out yesterday from an 88 or 89 hatch.
To the OP, sorry about that don't mean to take over your thread but it seems that this should be clarified. What car is this going into anyway?
