3rd time at the track and a personal best time. Pics inside.
Setup: B18C1 GSR engine, only upgrades ghetto intake, Apexi WS. No header. The time may not be too impressive to some but its the best I have done. 16" Rota Attacks with Nitto Drag Radial.
My car weighed in at 2220 gutted rear without me in it. 2345 with me in it.

That's not terrible but it's not great either. With stock DX muffler, piping, catalytic, stock ddx intake (doesn't fit..lol) stock timing, stock ls header that was crushed and street tires not radials, first pass was 14.72 @ 95mph.
Later on after i got a cold air intake, an exhaust system, and a jdm dc header, my time dropped to 14.30@97mph
When I got on some radials and gutted my car I went down to 14.1@97mph. Car weighed 2175.
Then I went back again after I got my skunk2 intake manifold and some suspension bushings and I went 13.91@99mph. But regardless, if you get your 60ft times down a bit, your ET will improve immensely. Also you can try advancing your timing a few degrees, that might help... Car looks nice. Good luck.

numbers look OK, but expect to shave .3-.5 with some practice.
Keep it up, times will improve.
But most of all, keep it at the track!

Is that your GF in the background? She's cute.
cool cool.
I just went for the first time in my CX/GSR hybrid last night and ran a 14.8 at 94 mph.
yes I know thats leaving a lot of room for improvement but it is at least a better time that I got in my GSR sedan (15.6).
It is so much about practice... the quicker drivers know what works and what doesnt, plus analyze their runs much more than I do.

When you post up your own 1/4 mile times it's really hard to compare it to others' times because they were not at the same track on the same day with same conditions.
I used to run 14.7 in my full interior'd 1992 Si hatch with B18C1 with i/h/e, but others on the net ripped on me for it.
They weren't running at the same track, so I didn't care at all. What they didn't know was that there were 3 other B18C1 swaps out there in VX and DX hatches running 14.6 when they weighed 200-300lbs. less than I did at that time.
What's the elevation of the strip you ran at?

good work at the track..wish everyone wanting to race does the same...my car is suppose to be doing mid 14s but the best im able to do is mid 15s..so much for mitsu marketing..or maybe its just me
Thanks all.
B18C5, Im not sure exactly what the elevation at this track is.
The temperature that night was around mid to lower 80s and hot during the day. I know the humididity was high its Texas.
I'm gonna try with a makeshift comptech icebox and see if it works a little better.
I think that I am improving my shifting points. My best time before this was a 15.1.
Thanks for the help and tips all.

practice, practice, practice, thats all i could say, if that was your first. if thats your best run so far you gotta let someone that can drag,, drive your car and break it in.
try sliping clutch some, shoot for around a 2.10 60 foot time on street tires, and remove as much weight as you can, its very important and makes big differnce! remeber if your spining the wheels, your not going anywhere!!!!! good luck, eric
We all got to start somewhere and why the hell would you give up that easily??
i would run my car into the wall if i hit a 15 in my gsr vx
