Default Car is not runnin gright wrong ecu

Well the civic is a 97 hatch .When i bought it there was one ecu plugged in and one lying on the floor when i saw it i test drove and and it drove fine now when i get on it i smell gas and when sitting idle seems like its gonna die. The two bold letters on the ecu are EE.I have two other ecus one is a LU and the other is LG. The car is a stock d16y7 any input?

the ecu your supose to be looking for is a P2E. those other ecu's are wrong. so your most likely running to rich. and those ecu's your talking about. i've never really heard of them. maybe you writen the code wrong.

im guessing both those p2e ecus can work on a 97 dx hatch.

yeah you have the right ecu do you have a cel on, there are a number of sensors that could cause it to run rich, how do your plugs look
