it wont affect the wax persay... but when you dry the car more often, you'll probably have to wax the car more often. this is especially true if you have a very grippy chammy. the drying material kinda takes off a little bit of the wax each time you do it.

X2. That's how it goes. I generally don't wash unless I can wax too. My take is that one wax will stay on for 2-3 washes. No proof, just base on feel of the surface.

hmm never used it, but the 885 is pretty easy if you only do a couple panels at a time.
the 915 is pretty good stuff too for a longer lasting application http://www.autogeek.net/collinite-marque-wax-915.html

collinite 845 is a great wax. easy to apply and remove. very understated in my opinion. I use it during winter months, as it has good durability.

collinite is perhaps one of the most durable waxes around. as far as wax durability when you wash ur car depends on the type of soap you use and towels. Obviously you never want to use dish soap since its very strong and strips wax right off. using car soap and clean microfiber towels are ur best resources. in general waxes tend to last 3-6 weeks depending on which wax you use.

Remember, that when washing your car to use the right soap. In theory, you could substantially reduce the life of the wax by making to common mistakes. 1st is by using dish washing soap which is too harsh. 2nd is by using to much soap causing the solution to be strong- measure your soap. If you do those 2 things it will last a long time. If you want a long lasting wax, use polymer based instead of caranuba based

polymers are man made and carnuba comes from a tree in brazil. polymers just have a longer life span than the carnuba put into wax. There are some very nice carnubas though, and some produce some nice shine compared to polymer type waxes.
