hello there we have a 91 honda civic hatch that when you press the brake pedal the dash lights and running lights come on please help i can give you more info if needed to help us in finding the problem

 

it doesnt sound like a ground.most likely someone has spliced into a wire somewhere.check your fues box,in back of your radio,possibly your taillights.anything that has been spliced into should be disconnected.the check if it still does it.

 

this was so funny but it was the tail lights the dual element bulbs one of the elements popped and layed over on the the other so when you pressed on the brake pedal it would seem as if their was something seriously wrong but yet just a simple bulb
