Default rod bearing interchangeability?

Hi,

I searched, seriously but the search function sucks, it kept telling me i was searching for a stopword and "rod bearing" isn't a stopword. Anyway, I have rod knock so I immediately parked the car before i messed up the crankshaft. A friend of mine, VW dude, told me when that happened to him he just replaced the rod bearings and was lucky enough for that to fix it and him not have to rebuild. I'm hoping this will be the case for me, now a long time ago a hatch i bought came with a bunch of misc. stuff.. including connecting rod bearings, thrust washers, and main bearings all new in their box because he also gave me a b18a1 short block because he had no space for it anymore. so I was wondering does anyone know for sure b18a and b18b rod bearings are interchangeable? i really don't want to have to spend the money if i don't have to, specially since i don't have the money right now.

thanks

The rod bearings are the same.

You could have just called a Auto Parts Store or Honda Dealership and found this out without risking getting wrong information from somebody that isn't 100% sure...

So wait, the point of Honda-Tech is to get unsure pointless answers from the people and when you use the search button?

I doubt that is what is supposed to happen here. I hope not everyone thinks like you do... LoL

even more lol, but in all honesty if the search option wasn't down all the time it would help out a lot.

LOL... Well my whole point was to put this out there... People who have no Idea what they are talking about shouldn't give advice to those who seek it just to boost their rating. This is why Honda-Tech has been getting a bad rap in the past few years. Well, as they said in that one movie "Flame ON kid, Flame on..."
