you most likely have a distributor problem that doesn't allow you to rev past four. Any cels?

What have you done to the motor? any upgrade on the head and block. Its pointless if the motor is stock and you want it to rev to 9,000rpm.

alright. well the engine is still stock. all i have done to it is put in a s300 hondata. (that was a mistake cause i'm sure my s200 will work just fine.) and also i'm going to put in stage 2 camshafts. do i have to rebuild the head to go up to 9000 rpm?

the S3 wont make a differnece if you still cant go past 4k rpm. either have a dizzy problem or teh ecu is just no good. i had the same problem before and it threw a code about dizzy not firing correctly, but after i switched ECU's, it ran fine again. so try a different ecu first before replacing the dizzy

yup get your car running right before swapping cams, tune etc. etc.
if you want a fast car that never runs right, buy a dsm.

Read the FAQ that is stickied at the top of the forum. There are several B20VTEC build ups in there in the 230-250hp range to give you an idea of what it takes to make that kind of power. If you dont have any parts right now, be prepared to drop around$5-6k.
