I was working on my friends car when i pulled his Spark Wire to see if one of his cylinders was dead. I went down the line of pulling and placing the wire back.. all of a sudden it died after i got to the last cylinder (#4). Then his car wouldn't start back up! What should I do? Its getting fuel, air, compression, just no spark(i checked doing the spark plug 2 a ground test..no arc)!!! Has Anyone ever had this problem? What should I check? Thanks!

 

High possible chance the secondary coils arched internally and caused a short. Try another coil. Also check timing to see if it jumped.

 

First thing I would do is make sure the distributor assembly is getting 12V+, should be black/yellow lead, if there is 12V+ at the black/yellow then check the coil and ICM, [ignition. control module] 94

 

I think that can kill the coil...

 

i have not seen that damage a coil but hey anything is possible.
i would check the icm. their is a test to check both the coil and icm in 1 shot.
