Just kinda test the waters to see what's out there. This is my first VW, but doubt it will be my last. The German's make great cars, and this Gti is a prime example of that. I'm looking mainly for honda's/acuras, but would also consider a trade for any import.

The goods:

New radiator
Timing chains (upper and lower)
New Tensioners for the chains
New Windshield
New tie rod ends
Newer tires
New brake pads
New headlights, hood, and front bumper
Brand spankin new black paint w/a suttle blue pearl...looks amazing in direct sunlight
NOT A SCRATCH, DENT, OR MAJOR IMPERFECTION ON THE EXTERIOR OF THIS CAR...ESPECIALLY NO RUST...THAT COUNTS FOR THE UNDERCARRIAGE AS WELL.
Interior is probably a 8/10 minus the door cards...no rips in the leather

The bads:

Cruise not working
Abs light on
Hand brake light on constantly...not sure why, but this does not affect the function of the brake
Check engine light is on for the EGR valve...will have this fixed soon hopefully..very common on these cars
Driver's door card is starting to wear on the top pretty badly
Missing 3 of four mad flaps
missing the top part of the side skirts..common on mk3s...$20 part a side from dealer

Car has 158k well kept miles, and I have reciepts for all recent work. It drives straight and is a total sleeper. Tons of torque and will send your type R yelping back into its heated garage.
*Car will probably be lowered on blisten struts and h&r springs after this weekend, I can include the stock suspension as well.
