I like 'Toyota Black'. It is sold by Toyota dealers and is used as the factory oil pan gasket on some models. I don't know the part number but it is really good stuff.

Hondabond is really good. good adhesion, temp resistance (HT), and strength...just use that...I mean it's already o-ringed so pretty much anything will work in this application.

Between the engine block and the adaptor. I clean everything to get any oil off, lightly coat the O-ring on all surfaces and install it. Never had a leak. I use it on the threads of my fittings as well.

Permatex ultra grey and HondaBond 4 are the only things I use.

I pay about 5.00 for a tube of hondabond but have no clue what it really costs.

Most major brands will do a good job of sealing. It is just essential that all surfaces are clean and dry.

Permatex RTV sealant sucks it's like an upset stomach, and trips to the bathroom you think you're done, but sure enough you're making another trip to the bathroom.

Yes that's an analogy to leaks.

I use Permatex Ultra Black at work almost exclusively and have not had any problems with it as long as the surfaces being sealed are clean and dry. I'm definitely not a fan of their blue and red RTVs. I think they are unnecessary in most cases and are too slippery.
