None. Stock ftw.
Or you could just cut your stock one down 1" inch.

If you use a universal shift ****, there's no need to rethread the shifter.

I can only testify for ek's with both a d and b series, but I've had (each shifter on both engine types) blox racing single bend, straight short throw replica, and the skunk2 dual bend. The blox single bend is exactly the same as the skunk2 single bend I believe, and the straight shifter replica was crappy metal quality but the same shape/size and throw feel as the B&M straight I think (it was a straight shifter just like the b&m). Honestly I can say that I truly liked the skunk2 dual bend the most. Other then the fact that the quality is very high (f'n should be for the price), but I thought that the feel of the shift was much more enjoyable then the others including a stock shifter. It's not ridiculously short where your tranny cries after every shift, but its comfortably shorter and feels as if it improves shifting. I'd recomend them to anyone.
The single bend is nice too but felt stockish with a shorter throw, if that makes sense. Like the shifter itself mimicked the movement of the stock shifter but made the distance of the throw shorter. The straight shifter actually felt weird to me, I didn't care much for the shifting movement it created. It was almost like the shifter created a feeling of leaning or falling into gears and wasn't as enjoyable as the other two designs.
If you're picky about the minor things that can make you enjoy your driving more I'd go with the dual bend. Other wise, a short throw is a short throw for the most part as long as the quality isn't junk. (agh...got long, sorry. Hope it helps a bit)

I just installed a TWM dual bend shifter along with their A6 Leopard **** a couple weeks ago. I couldn't be happier.

Since this picture was taken, I have removed the spacer they provided lowering the **** by another 1/2 inch.

Buy an ebay steel piece before you go and cut your oem one. Then atleast if you dont like it you can go back to stock. Cuttting it is stupid. Shortens the height of the shifter not the length of the throw.
Yes it will shorten your shifting movement.
And why is it stupid? LoL. Don't answer that, because I know I'm gonna get a stupid answer.
People have been cutting down and modifying stock shifters, before damn short shifters were ever made.
I would extend the shaft below the fulcrum before cutting down the height above it. The **** is too far from the steering wheel stock, and cutting it down moves it further (but does reduce throw). Extending below (as shown by the pic of the TWM short shifter) reduces throw of the ****, but without moving the **** further from easy reach.
Why all the aftermarket "short shifters" do both, is beyond me.

Personally, I like my shifter lower. That was my main reason for installing the short shifter. 98% of the time, I don't shift any faster. I let the tranny tell me when it's ready to let the shifter glide into the next gear. I don't want to force it and thrash my syncros. But, of course, I do like the shorter throw also.

Whatever you do, buy a dual bend shifter. Straight ones put the shift **** farther away from you, and single bend one (for Civics or DA Integras) make the shifter look like it's in 4th gear when it's in neutral.
My cheap aluminum AutoZone shifter FTW. Had it for nearly 8 years without a single problem. The upper portion is the exact same height as stock, and the shifter throw is like so:

I place order B&M short shifter dual bend just got it yesterday, Just install it in today i love it! Didn't miss any shift at all, With skunk2 shift **** is nice. Let me take pic post it up, thank for all yall help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have a skunk2 dual bend now but before i had a cheap pep boys dual bend shifter. i worked great for like 2 years until one day i pulled down hard into 2nd gear and broke part of it off. i had to get a sock and wrap it in duct tape to make a ghetto shift **** until i finally got my skunk2 shifter. but even with the sock and a shorter shifter the shifts were remarkably good. lol
