b16 header..old toda?
Ok honda techi havent posted since the change from server to server...but here goes.
Built b16 in a crx, yada yada yada, I know, Toda header. I get it. My question is, should I get the new style toda header, or try and find a version 1, with slip fit joints and flex springs? I've been working as a mechanic in the road racing world for quite some time, and the slip fit seems to be the industry standard, it provides enough flex for the exhaust to "grow" (especially with heat wrap) and for any chassis/mount distortion to have little effect on it.
This will be a sunday driver/track day car. Ive learned better than to have just 1 vehicle for all purposes.
So...any ideas? I'm leaning towards the version 1, but finding it seems to get tougher every day.
Or maybe im missing the point completely i dunno thats why im here in internetland.

Hey Bastard, check this link:

It looks like they have "limited supply" of Version 1 headers. Read the bottom, in red.

the only difference with ver1 and ver2 is that ver1 is discontinued and it has the lil springs on the headers. but everything else is still the same. getting ver1 is just wanting to have something that is discontinued and a lil more expensive as well

Matt,
There is a well made copy of that header that runs around $450 or so. Similar to the version 1 with the slip collector. Spoolin performance makes it, they sell them in the sponsors marketplace here. Should be alot easier to get your hands on than a genuine Toda. Also if you were ready to spend Toda type of money look into a custom b16 header from SMSP.
