P5M trouble (99 H22)
Ok...I just recently finished the h22 swap into my 99 civic......A guy removed the immobilizer for me from the P5m that I have. He said the MIL would probably be on and that I might try to clear whatever code might be in there. The problem is that I bought an OBD2 scanner....and it wont read from the ECU.....So i tried crossing the service connector...and the MIL doesnt blink at all(not sure if its supposed to work that way since its OBD2, but the manual I had specified nothing of this) I have come to the conclusion that My ECU is bad, because I have checked my wiring like 3 times and it is all right. Also my car runs weird....When I first start it up it runs fine (since its in open loop) and then after it warms up the idle slows (which is normal) But if I rev the engine up and leave it at like 3k it sounds as if the ignition is turning off....but if I step on the gas a few times it will spit and crakc and rev back up again eventually doing the same thing.......
Got any Ideas? Is the ECU toast or what?
Thanks, Mark
