DA integra????
i got a completely stock 91 acura integra with a b18a... and i only got about $1500 to put into the motor. what would be the cheapest bang for my buck to ad a little power?
get a b20 and swap that in..
or do a full tune-up, spark plugs, cap, rotor, wires, fuel filter, the get a short ram or cold air intake..
a old and tired A1 isnt worth the cash

b16a s1 tranny and head swap. Swap the 5th gear into the b16 tranny before tossing the old LS tranny. If you have an s1 LS tranny you can also swap the 3-4 sleeve selector into b16 tranny. More then likely the b16 tranny you purchase will grind.
yes exactly i have a b16 swap in my da and my thrid and fith gear grind bad but i mean no motor isn't worth the money ... ls/vtec but that is risky and simple way to get more is the b16 ive noticed a huge difference its just whatever you wanna do...its your car don't let ppl tell you what to do with it!
How many miles are on the B18A1? It not really "old and tired". But there is more potential with the B16 or B20 swap. Its up to you. If you don't have a nice pair of wheels or anything I would get those first IMO. If there is nothing wrong with the stock motor then just wait and save until it really needs a swap or rebuild.
A swap can be $1000 ~ $2000 plus the labor and everything so if you need it as your DD then I would vote against it.

I have a 93 da with 1500 i was gonna put into the ls motor but i was convinced to do a b16a swap and i love it. it only cost me like 1400 for the motor shipped to my house and then i got a chipped p28 for 150.
the problem is..... i got the car wit a broken timing belt and i pulled the head and the vavles werent bent... so i just bought a gasket set and put it back on and it runs fine. now i only got $1500 and i wanted to add alittle power to my motor. i got 237,000 miles
Turbo it man, easiest power for the money. $1,500 is plenty for a cheap kit.
Nitrous would be cool, but you would need to refill the bottle too much, and you wont have power all the time.
Search carolinahondas.com and see if any good used turbo kits come around.

In all honesty why build waste time and more money(once you blow it up) on running 6lbs on a high mileage, beat old motor? Take some time and think about it, doing it right once is better then doing it twice!
