For sale is a 1999 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS with just under 70,000 miles. It is a black, 2-door, 5-speed manual. The car is bone stock and has never been modified, auto crossed, or abused in any way. The oil was changed with Mobil 1 every 4,000 miles or once every 8 months, which ever came first.

I’m selling the car because I have two vehicles and one of them has to go. My work commute is 6 miles and I tend to work from home a few days a week, so I put less than 6,000 miles on it in the last 2 years. Since this one costs me the most for insurance and taxes, it is the one that is up for sale.

I installed Infinity Kappa components in the front of the car and Infinity Kappa 3-way coaxials in the rear. They are powered with an Alpine Flex 5 amp. RCAs are already run for a subwoofer if the next owner chooses to install one. I also put in a K&N air filter (kept the stock intake) and an Optima Red Top battery.

Mechanically, the car is absolutely flawless. It has never been in an accident, and the engine and transmission are as strong as ever. The tires and brakes have about 20,000 miles on them. The AC condenser was replaced about 3 years ago as it somehow was punctured (I probably ran over a stick or something). The rear shocks were replaced with KYB stock-equivalent equipment about 2,000 miles ago. Subaru fixed two factory recalls several years ago. One was the mass airflow sensor and the other was the head gasket. When they did the head gasket they also replaced the Timing Belt.

The interior is in 10/10 condition. I never allowed food or beverage in the car, and it has never been smoked in. Has the OEM floor mats and they are in good shape. The seats do not have any stains or rips, and show very little wear as the car has very few miles on it.

The exterior is in 8.5/10 condition. The only flaws are 2 really really small areas of surface rust on the passenger side where the paint is slightly bubbled.

Asking $8500 OBO. You will not find an old-style RS in better condition with as few miles as this one. The pictures below aren’t the best as I just ran it through the car wash quickly, but the black metallic paint looks great when it is waxed.
