Default JDM Prelude Type s

Hi guys sorry one more question. I saw the thread about headers in this forum.

I saw some BRANDLESS cheap headers in Ebay. Are those any good?? Has anybody tried it before?

Is there a difference between USDM spec Type SH and JDM Spec Type S in terms of header? Will a aftermarket header for Type SH fit my Type S??

OK, the Euro R h22 header looks exactly like the stock JDM exhaust manifold! except the downpipe is a couple of inches shorter. I googled type S technical highlights and found a neat writeup about the type S. Apparently the type S manifold is the same size on the outside but bigger on the inside! They look the same to me! I know the typs SH header is shorter. I bought one from EBAY and go 6 more HP between 7600 and 8000 RPM. It bolted right up.

The type S header is "bigger" on the inside due to the shape of the diameter of the inside of the pipe. The base H22A/A4 header is oval on the inside, while the type s is circular.

Yes, that is correct but I was referring to the upper part of the manifold. I took my Euro and JDM manifolds around the shop. No one could tell which one was the Euro header! weird huh?
