Transmisson Scatter Sheild?
I am wondering what is the rule with the NHRA as to when you need a scatter sheild on a honda?
Also who makes them? Where can I buy one?
I cant seem to find much in the nice new search feature..

personally if you are goin fast, you need one. IPG has em golden eagle( i run theirs ) has em, and deist makes trans blankets. clutch explosions arent anything to be taken lightly.
i dont have my rulebook off hand, but i think it is one of the 9.99 135 rules.
i think it should be there when you need a bar unless that is the rule 11.49

Last time when i took my car to Lebanon in NY i was told any car that has an aftermarket turbo setup has to have a scattershield or trans blanket.
Luckly they let me run that day but they said next time i had to have my scattershield on..
Lets just say i have mine sitting in the basement waiting for some nice weather for it to go on..

we have a problem on our 2300 motor, not sure why. we even use blue loctite (which probably just burns away anyways), but the safety wire keeps huge accidents from happening for sure. I dont do it on the civic though
you can drill the holes yourself if you have the right tools/machinery. we go through 3 flywheel bolts each time. here is a link to the tool you need for the twisting process.
