hey guys...i have a 3" bpi flow stack kit and i need a 3 inch short ram pipe to put it on and i cant find one that fits a 98 gsr without any modifications. I ordered a 3 inch pipe off ebay and it didnt fit so now im in a rut again. anyways any help?

Buy some 3" piping, cut it up and weld it to fit your engine bay. Your stock gsr IM will cause some routing problems, an ITR style manifold would help out.

i STILL cant find a short ram pipe to match my velocity stack.....i just purchased a generic 3 inch short ram "made for a 98 gsr" on ebay and i got it and it didnt fit....can someone PLEASE measure the diameter of ur injen or aem sri or another name brand pipe so that i know how big it is so i can purchase one?!?!!

 

Honestly, I'd just sell the velocity stack. They make a negligible difference.

Try Autozone. My local one sells Spectre intake products, including 3" pipe. I just bought a short ram for my DIY intake because it had the IAT sensor bung and grommet.

 

cant you just get a vibrant coupler that steps down from 3" to 2.75? Many aftermarket intakes are 2.75". plus how big is your TB, a 70mm TB is appx equal to 2.75".

 

its not really the coupler size that im worried about its the 3" velocity stack that needs to fit on a 3" pipe

 

The coupler is what connects the V-stack and intake piping...

you can get a comptech short ram its 3'' or chop up a itr aem cai!

 

If you got it for a GSR and you DON'T have a GSR it wont fit, GSR tb sits a lot lower... good luck...

 

I've got a 3" intake pipe leftover from when I had it with my stock airbox and filter. If you think it can work for you, I can shoot some pics your way.
