warped rotor or bad bearings
how can you tell when driving?
Right now my steering wheels vibrates when accelerating. But upon braking or just stop pressing gas, it stops vibrating. And it only does this while going around 40+ mph
can anyone help?
thanks

Hello,
Bearings tend to growl and get louder during driving. It will also make the ride not so pleasent. A bad rotor will squeel and cause a shimmy or vibration when braking.
As the other poster suggested look at your tires. A cupped tire will cause this. Rub your hand over the tred of eac tire and see if one is uneven worn.
I had a car that had a badly cupped tire and about 40- 60 miles per hour the steering wheel and dash board looked like it was going to fall off from the shaking.
Cheers

You have one or both INNER CV joints worn. Raise the car up on a hoist, grab hold of the axle shaft near the inner boot and check for excessive play in both inner joints. Grease leaking out of the boot is also evidence of a worn joint
thanks I will check for that this weekend. Is the anything else that I should check while I'm at it?

Not really in agreement about your cupped tire theory. All of my BMWs have had extremely aggressive toe and the front tires on ALL of them cup considerably. My BMW has no shimmys or shakes whatsoever.
To the OP I would check your inner tie rods and tire rod ends.
