Turbo H22 Intake,TB Selection
hey guys i am trying to pick what intake and tb im going to go with on my h22 turbo build and it looks like im going with the skunk 2 intake mani and a blox 74mm tb. so i was wondering what combos and sizes the 400whp+ people are using
if i had a better clutch (slipping) i would get 400 with a stock IM + TB with butterflies removed.
I am going to be going with a skunk2 IM....not sure what TB, either stock or skunk2 70MM
Does anyone know the size (in mm) of the Pentium on the skunk2 IM (i think that's what it's called, the opening where the TB attaches) on the skunk2 TB? Is it oem size?
Wondering because i will have to consider port matching if i go with a 70mm TB

im trying to talk one of our customers into trying out the magnus h22 intake manifold for a 600+ h22 project we are doing. i'll post back if he goes for it.

Evans tuning had great results with Skunk 2 pro1 cams and a Skunk 2 intake. Look it up on their website under H22 then Dyno chart. They got 525whp @ 15psi. My H22 needed 23 - 24 psi to reach that power level, with the same turbo - GT35. I'm using stock cams, a GE intake, JG head, 70 mm TB and 3" DP and full length exhaust. The cam must be the issue. Evans said that the longer intake runners like the Skunk 2, must be used to properly utilize the cam change. The power I'm making really seems typical, from what I see with other peoples Dyno charts. Evans said it was the most power they had ever seen, in their shop at that boost level.
