Default All Motor "Street Car"

Post your set up. I'm currently building a LS/V in my 93 DB1, Its going to be streetable. But only driven on weekends and at the track. Basically a "race car" since it has no ps nor ac. but still full interior.
Post up your Street/Race type cars. set up, pics, dyno sheets.

The term "Street car" is a loose term because it means something different to everyone.

However, my car is a street car

exactly, I just like seeing how diff. ppl build cars that barely have business on the streets, and still call them race cars. Mines a 4 door family car all motor with "bolt-ons".

Its funny, if the car is registered and insured then its technically a street car. Yet if your like me and only take it to work on a friday thats 7miles from home or for a drive on sat or sun, is it really fair to claim? heh.

My last "street driven" setup was an apx 12.7 comp lsvtec with pro1's tuned on crome that I used VP 100 streetblaze in.

I dont dyno but the only time I have for that motor is it went 14.1 at 103 with an embarrasing 2.2 60 ft in an EF chassis straight off the street with some all seasons.
I didnt even bother trying to better it. The mph told me there was a better time hiding in the car, but I came unprepared that day.

NMRA SSO, the cars have to be registered, plated, insured, original glass except rear, OEM dash, panels, carpet etc...but the car couldn't make it 10 miles on the street or make a right turn without using 3 lanes of traffic and it runs 7.30's@199 mph. It's no street car, but by your original comment it could be.

Thats not really defining a street driven race car though since many factory car came with neither of those.
Even a gutted interior no heater ect wouldnt define a race car.

The limits that come to mind for me would be fuel limitations, drivability of the motor/chassis, and legality.
Obviously the motor is not street legal, but the car looking average helps to get by.

This is what I'm talking about right here ^. My car is built BY ME, FOR ME, too out run the next guy. It may not ride the best with those 12k/18k rates, it may not have the most creature comforts, it may not handle that well with those 15x3.5's in the back and the 15x8's in the front, so what you can't sit next to me b/c the nitrous bottle is in the way. Its my car "street car" and that's the way I built it, if you don't like it race someone else.

Like I said, everyone will have their own description of the term, pointless in general discussion really. Most "Street Class" rules will even vary.

exactly, i just wanna see the different ideas ppl have of a "street car". mine started out as a family car id take my kids to school in and the what not. started with bolt ons and became what it is today. a fast fun car i like to race. Im not talking about turbo mustanggs and true 10.5 cars. Im talking hondas.
