Default Exhaust question at rear axel

i have a 90 dx hatch, i was wondering if anyone routed their exhaust above the rear drivers side lca instead of the passengers side. this would make the exhaust straighter and i was wondering if i would notice a difference in power or if it is possible. i would have a shop weld up new pipes.

Also i was wondering if a should get an ebay header i have the d15b2 header on my sohc zc and was wondering if it was to restrictive because i herd that the zc was the most free flowing header for oem sohc.

Thanks, TK.

The only problem your going to have with running your exhaust on that side of the car is that there is no tunnel. Everyday driving might start beating it up if your car is lowered.

I'll see what the guy at the shop thinks too.
But has anyone else had a problem with going that route?

So if you are talking about running out the opposite side that the exhaust cut out is on the bumper, it will work. I have a 90 crx and the exhaust cut out is on the driver side of the bumper, and instead of having two more 90 degree bends just after the lca I had them bring it straight out the back on the passenger side of the bumper.

routeing the exhaust straight back then above the drvers side LCA then straight back instead of going to the passanger LCA then to the drivers side and out.

It will make NO difference on a street car. Other than maybe causing problems.

If its a track car, just put a turn down on the B pipe.

dude, that wing is ginormous! i don't usually like big wings, but that looks pretty cool! yeah, i'd just keep the piping in the stock location, easier to manage that way. no need to cut, and move ****.

wow.. 6 hp increase and 5 tq for $535 plus shipping. sounds like a winner.
see if i just happen to come accross one that is used. or i will pick that up at the end of summer.
i bet that 2.5 piping could handle 8 to 9 psi with a good tune.
Thanks everyone.

2.5" RSR Ex-mag.... Don't know if i got any HP/TQ gains if any, but it looks and sounds good. Don't reroute your exhaust to the driver's side LCA...

does anyone run a magnaflow 2.25" inlet to a dual 2" outlet?
if i cant find a good used skunk2(would love to have rs*r) i will pick up a magnaflow and have exhaust shop install along with 2.25 pipes.

What should i use as a mid pipe?
