Tegman23 Quest for 10's! (56k just say no!)
Hey guys this is my first attempt at a build thread, and a couple guys on here told me I should start one so here we go...
I first got my DA off an older couple that used it to drive back and forth around town and to flordia..Had 135,000 miles on it paid $2000 bone stock, when I was 16 years old...The car has gone threw so many different setups, from stock ricer mode with intake/header/exhaust/lowered on ugly wheels, to an ebay turbo kit on the stock ls motor, after that I decided it was time to get serious which is when I started my b16a semi build. I had the car runing for about 2 weeks and cracked a sleeve. Rebuilt another b16 with a good turbo kit more knowledge lasted a pretty long time, beating on it everyday at 370whp. I went 11.7 @124mph with that setup...I have learned so many things. From not knowing really anything about cars, to basically knowing everything in and out about my car/motor, whick leads me to my setup now..
This year I decide it was time to build somthing big and powerful, enough to shoot me into the 10's and stay reliable. the setup ill be running will be
B18a1-rs machine sleeved 84mm
ls crank
eagle rods
je 9:1 pistons
arp head studs
Head (Thanks to Jeff at Rager Racing Heads) AWESOME work and service
manley oversized valves
skunk2 springs/retainers
gsr cams
skunk2 intake manifold
p&p
ls trans
obx lsd
act extreme PP
4 puck
act flywheel
bosch 1000cc injectors
walbro 255
bosch inline pump
tuned on s300
havent decided on suspension yet..

nice start j.j. everything's lookin good so far. can't wait to see this beast all finished up. once i ever get my together we'll have to get together some weekend
Thanks guys...Cant wait to get it tuned, should be fun...trying to decide what suspension to order, probley getting skunk2...Going to work on the valve cover tomorrow.

Well I had some unexpected work to do, My daily driver crx broke a ball joint, and to have my uncle tow it to my garage and worked on getting it back on the road...Going to work on the valve cover tomorrow and put the oil pan on...

Thanks man, you have to start some where...I started out with this car first pass on a race track went 17's stock...lol I have hit every number from 17s down to 11s, Now I need 10s lol..Its addicting
Thanks for the replies guys...Worked on the valve cover tonight...Sanded it down best i could. Painting it a wrinkle black..Its not done yet waiting for it to dry but a couple pics for you guys.. Ill post up a final pic later tonight

Thanks guys vc is almost dry..Lookin good to me...Ill let you know on the coilovers, wasnt planning on buying them for a couple weeks yet..
I would but I kinda like my job and I get paid really well....My boss isnt somone who just lets some one get away with doing that either, I wouldnt have a job when I get back probley lol...Maybe next year, if I get a raise!
